1966 VolksWagen Beetle

History and Condition.   We got this VW from a dealer friend who is thinning out his collection of collector cars.  He purchased this car 10 years ago from the City of Wichita.  The car was reported to have been confiscated by authorities as a result of a drug deal.  The car appears to have been freshly restored and to not have any rust.  It has been in storage for the past 10 years and has been driven less than 200 miles since 1998.  When taken out of storage it got a new set of tires, some new brake hoses and fresh gasoline. 

    We are not experts on Volkswagens but have driven other VW's and so were impressed with this cars incredible power.  Someone told us this car has a Porsche motor.  Another person said it is not a Porsche but a larger displacement engine.  What we know for sure is that this car starts easily, sounds great, has impressive power and is an extremely clean VW.
