History and Condition.   My Cousin bought this '40 Ford Coupe for his Father to drive and enjoy in 2003.  His Father (My Uncle) had a new '40 Ford Coupe as his first car, so I am sure he has enjoyed tinkering with this one and driving it occasionally. I have a lot of fond memories as a kid, listening to my Uncle's stories about his adventures with his '40 Ford and the Harley Davidson that he had as a young man.  It was therefore a pleasant surprise to see my Aunt and Uncle driving this '40 Ford in our Hometown Fredonia Kansas Homecoming Parade a few years ago.  They also entered the car in Fredonia's Tri Valley Street Rod Association 2004 Custom Car Show and won the Original Class Division Plaque.

    It is my understanding that the car has had minimal work done on it in the past 6 years. It was pretty much purchased in 2003 in its current good condition. The cloth interior appears to be original and is in nice condition however it may have been redone during a prior restoration.  The body is straight and appears to be all metal and rust free.  The underside of the car also appears solid with no rust problems.  The paint finish has a few minor scratches and imperfections but looks great overall and is very glossy and in great overall condition.

    The car starts easily and the engine sounds good.  The speedometer, odometer, fuel, ammeter and oil pressure gages seem to be working properly with the exception being the temperature gage which does not seem to move.  As you can tell by the driving video, the car drives out very nicely with all mechanical components working properly.

    Color Note.  We originally thought this was a black car but when you get it in the bright sunlight it appears to have a black cherry tint.
